This is a FASCINATING book about Jesus Christ

This book by John Stott tells how the Church perceived Jesus Christ differently over the centuries.

JUST look at the Table of Contents to gain useful insights.

THEN do not be shocked that there have been so many denominations. They just saw a part of the whole of Jesus Christ.

Recall that Jesus asked, Who do you say that I am? in Mark 8:29 and in Luke 9:20.

There are many biblical answers to that simple question. Each correct answer is valuable. But just one answer cannot encompass the fullness of the complete answer.

Church history seems to show how Christians got tired of the old perspective on Jesus Christ or the ways it got corrupted. So they latched on to and a new and fresh view that suited the times.

We live in an age where there are new and old views on Jesus Christ available online, in the pulpits, and at the bookstores.  That is PART of the explanation of why there is so much confusion inside and outside the church.
