God Will Make a Way Again

THANKS again for EACH of your prayers.

God is answering your prayers in His way and in His time.

There has been progress.

I am at a critical time.

I need prayers more than ever.

May God provide money to pay for where I have been these ten days.

May God guide me to find the next place to sleep.

I have had many intimate times of prayer with God this week.

I feel that my Good Shepherd has been leading me.

He has been giving me His peace and strength.

There is great uncertainty about the short term future.

But I have clarity and confidence about the long term future.

I find myself in a time of powerlessness.

I cannot control key parts of my life.

So I must look to Christ in faith all the more.

I trust Him to lead me through these challenges.

I realize the importance of the community of supportive Christians.

I have witnessed God guiding and providing me many times before.

He promised to never leave nor forsake me.

He is working all this together for my good and His glory.

I trust that God will make a way where there seems to be no way again.

CONNECTED

It took all afternoon but when a person donates online I can instantly assess the money.

That is the way it had been for many years.

But I let parts of that system go dormant when I was a house manager.

The branch bank is far from the missionary housing.

I took 3 different busses and much walking to get there and back.

They quickly set the PIN on my new ATM card.

That was not the end of the story.

I needed to call customer service for the bank and Pay Pal.

Normally they said the connection of these accounts could take 3 to 5 business days.

The several helpful representatives worked with me and it got completed today.

I even ran a small test of a key part of the system.

Late yesterday a brother in Christ went with me to get my desktop computer.

The files on it represent hundreds of hours of previous preparations for fund raising.

There are short, medium and long versions plus lots of notes.

So here I am at the end of the day with all the parts to assemble for online fund raising.

There have been all kinds of delays yet Jesus Christ has given me peace all along the way.

I believe when that crowd funding platform is running it will pay for my basic needs.

It will pave the way for me to travel to other cites to get their feedback and support.

I will enroll many more intercessors, advisers and donors.

They will be part of the Launch Team.

I will have a stable place to live and suitable transportation.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

It feels like I am at the starting place that I had hoped to be at a week ago.

I have my notes and the basic donation system in place.

I have studied how to use the crowd funding platform.

I have a place to stay for a while that is peaceful.

My current challenge is to review my fund raising notes.

Then I must make an orderly outline using the mind map of how to present the parts.

There are literally dozens of possible parts.

So I request your prayers to keep it simple.

I need to share an overview and some key highlights.

Then I will add more parts later.

ONE THOUSAND

During one of my early emails I asked for prayers for a fund raising goal.

I said the number that came to mine frightened me at first.

I have been praying on that.

Also the fund raising platform requires a fund raising goal.

That number was 1 thousand dollars.

So far I have received 415 dollars.

So I think that 1000 dollars more will get me to a different plateau.

When I get to that plateau I will see my next steps better and will set a new goal.

I need 450 dollars on Thursday by noon to pay for the 10 days here.

I have received 200 dollars toward that.

Pray for the other 250 dollars to be raised to meet that need.

This place is booked after that and maybe there will be vacancies next week.

I have left a voice mail and not had a reply about that yet.

Still I am not sure where I will sleep this week end.

Pray for God to guide and provide.

The bottom line is that I need to face my fears.

I need to send out personal emails asking for help in this time of need.

I may need to talk with key people on the phone.

This room phone calls out but I have not been able to take incoming calls.

So I can use a person to sponsor a very basic phone with just voice and text.

UPDATE

•       Finally the ATM card PIN was set and the bank account is linked to my Pay Pal account.

•       So I can receive donations and get the money from the ATM within minutes like previously.

•       I need courage and strength to become active with personal fund raising for my immediate needs.

•       I need to keep it simple when preparing for online fund raising.

PRAYER

May my faith in You, Jesus Christ, remain strong during times of testing.

May I lean into Your love and grace when my mind doubts.

May I become more sensitive to following the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
