When I got
up this morning the passage from James 1:2-4 was in my mind.
The Bible
says to count it all joy when you encounter various trials.
It goes
on to say testing of your faith produces endurance.
That word
endurance is also translated as patience, steadfastness and perseverance.
I am to
let it have its result so I can be complete and lacking nothing.
I choose
to interpret my current conditions in the light of those verses.
God is
using these circumstances to do a work in my soul.
I can
always use more patience, perseverance and endurance.
And He
is using it to improve the faith of those who pray for me.
He is
using it to bless those who give.
Most of
life has been peaceful.
But during
each major transition there was much ruckus like these days.
I absolutely
believe that I have been trusting and obeying Jesus daily.
I find myself
in financial trouble but I look to the Word for comfort and faith.
Here are
some verses I have been meditating on lately.
God is
at work in me to will and to do of His good pleasure. Phil 2:12-13
I am
his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works he prepared. Ep 2:10
God chose
and appointed me to go bear fruit that will remain. John 15:16
I will
call on the Lord in the day of trouble, He will rescue me. Ps 50:15
I will
call on Him, He will answer me, He will deliver me and I will honor Him. Ps 91:15
UPDATE
Last night
I sent out 15 individual emails or Facebook messages.
I requested
donations to meet my needs.
I have
heard back from 3 people.
One person
gave 200 dollars.
The other
2 indicated they cannot give now.
These 15
people are those that had given to support me over the years.
The range
of donations during this month has been from 20 to 200 dollars.
There are
fees that are taken out by Pay Pal and by the ATM.
So as
of this moment I have 390 dollars available.
Also I need
a few more groceries today and to mail a package.
That brings
the balance to 375 dollars.
The payment
for staying at the missionary housing is due by noon tomorrow.
That bill
is 450 dollars and then subtract 375 dollars so what is needed is 75 dollars.
That is
a very possible amount as God answers your prayers.
I have
raised much more than that before in 24 hours.
Then the
big question is, “What is next?”
I am
not sure about the next 4 nights.
But then
the 4 nights after that are covered.
A room
will open up again here on Monday July 7 to 11.
And fortunately
that room is only 35 dollars a night instead of 45 dollars.
I have
reserved that room by faith.
From where
I stand right now there are three options for what is next.
I have
sketched them under the headings Plan A, Plan B and Plan C.
PLAN A
Plan A
is where God connects me with supporters who sponsor the next 4 days.
The
supporters use Pay Pal to send money and/or pay for a room at Motel 6.
Those rooms
can be booked online at about 50 dollars each night.
I do
not have many needs besides housing, WIFI and a peaceful setting.
I have
never been a big eater.
I may
need bus fare and with Pay Pal plus the ATM there are fees.
So an
estimate need with margin is 20 dollars per day.
That need
is 280 dollars until I return to missionary housing.
PLAN B
Plan B
would be to sleep on the couch of a friend or in a guest bedroom.
I do
not seek to disturb the single people or families I know.
It would
only be until July 7.
All I need
there is a WIFI connection and peaceful setting.
I could
go to a community college or library to get that.
I am
committed to focus on getting the crowd funding platform online ASAP.
I have transferred
the essential files from my desktop to my laptop so I can work anywhere.
If you
live in the Dallas area and can help me in this way then contact me immediately.
PLAN C
Lord willing
the crowd funding platform gets online.
I had
spent years studying Internet marketing.
So I know
lots of ways to promote that platform to strangers.
All I need
to do is cover my modest living expenses.
And I will
transition to Phase Two the outfitting for road trips.
When I go
to those cities I will use the platform to enroll intercessors, advisers and
donors.
I know a
generous supporter that has connections with Marriot Hotels.
I could
stay there for a month or more if needed.
That provision
almost came together on July 1.
The next
window of opportunity is July 9.
It is
possible and desirable to come back to missionary housing for July 7 to 11.
Then I
move to the Marriot for the next season of transitions.
CONCLUSION
This is
a time of great need for your best prayers.
I ask
you to pray for God to guide me and provide for my needs.
When you
pray believe and expect answers.
The goal
was 1000 dollars and so far 400 dollars have arrived.
Pray for
the other 600 dollars to arrive right on time.
And if
a person sponsors a motel room or brings me as a guest that is 50 dollar a
night.
I ask
you to pray and obey God.
Maybe God
is prompting you to help me today.
Here is
the Pay Pal link where you can send 20 to 200 dollars or more.
Here is
a Motel 6 that is suitable.
And the
person that sponsored the other 2 nights used Expedia http://www.expedia.com/

I will
keep you posted as there are developments.
Keep praying
and expecting God to answer in amazing ways.
