When I woke
this morning I had 6 more nights here.
My mind,
heart and notes were full of possibilities.
There were short
term and long term.
Some were
tiny tasks and others were huge projects.
I did what I
usually do in such a situation.
I put them
on an online mind map service I have been using for years.
This helped
me to capture them and get then outside my head.
Then I could
think more clearly.
I created
various branches important topics.
That was
useful just to do the dumping.
Then I rearranged
them by logical order and relative priorities.
This helps
me to know where to best focus my attention in the short term.
As more
ideas occur to me then there is an orderly place to record them.
This may
seem like an excessive amount of detail for such an update.
However this
is how I believe God guides my steps.
There are very
subtle thoughts, impressions, promptings, etc.
These occur
many times day and night.
Only a few
of them can be acted on immediately.
This is how I
seek to be faithful to trust and obey God as He guides my step.
The good
news is that I have been doing this for many years.
I have gotten
good at it.
The bad news
is that I can tilt too much to planning and avoid actions.
I did need a
new mind map for this transitional season.
Last week I had
no idea I would be here in this condition.
I have a
general sketch of the first five phases.
I am
beginning to understand what to concentrate on this week.
The crowd
funding website is Indigogo https://www.indiegogo.com/
Ultimately it
is only an online showcase.
They have
done the techie stuff.
It is up to
me to create the digital items to display in the showcase.
On this part
of my mind map I have begun to list the possibilities.
It will take
months for all the parts I listed to fully mature.
So I am back
to that slogan Keep It Simple.
Pray for God
to guide me in doing an overall sketch.
I need to
see in my mind and on the computer the big picture.
Then from
that may God grant me wisdom on what to work on short term.
From that will
come a few projects with prioritized tasks to achieve goals.
Accomplishing
these goals will lead to raising funds immediately and later.
Lord willing
with the next update I will be able to list specific projects for your prayers.
This is an
ideal setting for doing this kind of work.
It is quiet
and peaceful.
There are no
distractions.
My needs are
met.
God carved
out this time and place for me to do this work.
GARAGE
APARTMENT
I have not
yet heard back from the person with the garage apartment.
It has only
been one day so I am not concerned.
I hope that
God will open this door or another one like it right on time.
STORAGE
Sooner than
later I will need to bring my desktop computer here.
It has
stored on the hard drive files I can use for the crowd funding.
Right now it
is at a storage unit on W Mockingbird and Lemmon.
I need a
ride there and back here near Eastfield Community College.
But before
that I need to connect with the wife of the director.
She has the
key to the lock on that unit.
ATM
Also from
the wife of the director I need to get my ATM card that is coming in the mail.
I opened a
bank account the day I left the sober house and used that address.
That ATM
card will allow me to access funds immediately after they are put on Pay Pal.
I need a
bank account to reactivate my Pay Pal debit card.
A dear
brother has been allowing me to transfer funds from my Pay Pal account to his.
Then after it
moves into his bank account he brings me the cash.
This is an awkward
arrangement for both of us.
So pray for
that ATM card to swiftly get to me.
STRENGTHS
Now more
than ever I need to develop my strengths.
Pray for God
to reveal and confirm to me what are my strengths.
I believe as
I lean toward those I will make the most progress.
After I am
out of this critical transition then I will address my weaknesses too.
PRAYER
Obviously I have
already included lots of prayer requests already.
And here are
three more.
May God
provide the 315 dollars for use of this place before noon on Monday June 30.
May God send
to me plenty of generous givers both this week and in the months to come.
May I learn
how to better use the mind map as a tool and from it take bold action steps.
Shalom
